Mobile App Excellence

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: February 15, 2025

At SignalChainLink, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile app support and update services. We've written this in plain language because you shouldn't need a law degree to understand what happens with your data.

Our operations are based in Bangkok, Thailand, and we comply with the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) and relevant Thai data protection regulations. But more than legal compliance, we believe in being straightforward about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information depending on how you interact with our services. Here's what that actually means in practice.

Information You Give Us Directly

When you reach out for app support or sign up for update notifications, you share certain details with us:

  • Your name and contact information (email, phone number)
  • Company details if you're representing a business
  • Technical information about your app and the issues you're experiencing
  • Any documentation or screenshots you send us to help troubleshoot problems
  • Payment information when you purchase support packages (processed through secure third-party processors)

Information We Collect Automatically

Some data gets collected when you use our services, even if you don't actively provide it:

  • Device information (operating system, device type, app version)
  • Log data including IP addresses and timestamps
  • How you interact with our website and support portal
  • Crash reports and diagnostic data when apps encounter errors

Worth noting: We don't use tracking pixels or sell your browsing data to advertisers. The automatic data we collect serves one purpose—making our support services better.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data isn't just sitting in a database somewhere. We use it for specific reasons that directly relate to providing you with quality service.

Purpose How It Works
Providing Support We use your contact info and technical details to diagnose issues and communicate solutions. Pretty straightforward.
Service Improvements Analyzing patterns in support requests helps us identify common problems and develop better update processes.
Communication Sending you important updates about your apps, scheduled maintenance, or changes to our services.
Security Monitoring for unusual activity that might indicate security threats or unauthorized access attempts.
Legal Compliance Meeting our obligations under Thai law, including maintaining required records and responding to valid legal requests.

We don't use your information for anything beyond these purposes without asking you first. And we definitely don't use it for unrelated marketing campaigns or selling to third parties.

3. Who We Share Your Data With

We're selective about who gets access to your information. Here's the complete list:

Service Providers We Work With

Some operations require specialized tools. We partner with carefully vetted companies for:

  • Cloud hosting and storage (your data lives on secure servers)
  • Payment processing (they handle transactions, not us directly)
  • Email delivery services (for sending you updates and support responses)
  • Analytics tools (helping us understand how our services perform)

Each of these providers signs agreements that restrict how they can use your data. They can't repurpose it for their own marketing or sell it to others.

When Law Requires It

Sometimes we have to share information because the law demands it. This happens when:

  • Thai authorities issue valid legal requests or court orders
  • We need to protect our legal rights in disputes
  • There's a genuine emergency involving safety or security
  • We're required to comply with regulatory investigations

What we don't do: We don't sell your data. We don't rent out contact lists. We don't share information with marketing companies or data brokers. Your business is with us, not with random third parties.

4. Your Rights and How to Use Them

Under Thai data protection law, you have specific rights. But more importantly, we think you should be able to control your own information. Here's what you can do:

Access Your Data

Want to see what information we have about you? Just ask. We'll provide a complete copy within 30 days. No charge for the first request in any 12-month period.

Correct Inaccuracies

Spotted something wrong? Let us know and we'll fix it. You can update most contact information yourself through our support portal, but reach out if you need help with anything else.

Delete Your Information

You can request deletion of your personal data. We'll honor this unless we have a legitimate reason to keep it—like completing a service you paid for or meeting legal retention requirements.

Object to Processing

Don't want us using your data for a particular purpose? You can object. We'll stop unless we can demonstrate a compelling reason to continue that outweighs your interests.

Withdraw Consent

For anything you've explicitly agreed to, you can change your mind. This won't affect anything we did before you withdrew consent, but we'll stop moving forward.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@signalchainlink.com with your request. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by Thai law.

5. How We Protect Your Information

Security isn't just a checkbox for us. We've implemented multiple layers of protection:

  • All data transmissions use TLS encryption (the same technology banks use)
  • Databases are encrypted at rest with industry-standard protocols
  • Access to personal data is restricted to employees who need it for their jobs
  • We use two-factor authentication for all administrative access
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing identify vulnerabilities
  • Automated systems monitor for suspicious activity around the clock

Our servers are located in secure facilities with physical access controls. Staff members with data access undergo background checks and sign confidentiality agreements.

In case of a breach: If something goes wrong and your data is compromised, we'll notify you within 72 hours as required by Thai law. We'll also tell you what happened, what data was affected, and what steps we're taking to address it.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We don't keep information forever. Different types of data have different retention periods based on their purpose:

Data Type Retention Period Reason
Active Client Data Duration of service plus 1 year Ongoing support and service continuity
Financial Records 7 years Thai tax and accounting law requirements
Support Tickets 3 years after resolution Quality assurance and pattern analysis
Technical Logs 90 days Security monitoring and troubleshooting
Marketing Consents Until withdrawn Ongoing communication preferences

When retention periods expire, we securely delete or anonymize the data. Deletion means complete removal from our systems. Anonymization means stripping out anything that could identify you personally.

7. International Data Transfers

Our primary operations are in Thailand, but some of our service providers operate internationally. This means your data might be processed in other countries.

When we transfer data outside Thailand, we ensure adequate protection through:

  • Standard contractual clauses approved by Thai data protection authorities
  • Selecting providers in countries with strong data protection frameworks
  • Additional security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data
  • Regular audits of international providers' security practices

You have the right to request details about where your data is stored and processed. We're happy to provide that information.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses minimal cookies—small files stored on your device that help the site function properly.

Essential Cookies

These are necessary for the site to work. They handle things like keeping you logged into our support portal and remembering your language preferences. You can't opt out of these without breaking basic functionality.

Analytics Cookies

We use these to understand how people use our site—which pages get visited, where people get stuck, that sort of thing. The data is aggregated and anonymous. You can disable these in your browser settings if you prefer.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party tracking for marketing purposes. What you do on our site stays with us.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services target businesses and professionals, not children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years old without parental consent.

If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately. We'll delete it from our systems within 48 hours.

10. Changes to This Policy

We update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our website.

The "Last Updated" date at the top tells you when the most recent changes were made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically, especially before sharing new information with us.

Continuing to use our services after we post changes means you accept the updated policy. If you don't agree with changes, you can close your account and request deletion of your data.

11. Thai Data Protection Rights

As our operations are based in Thailand, you have specific rights under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). Beyond what we've already covered, this includes:

  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee if you believe we've violated your rights
  • The right to data portability—receiving your data in a structured, commonly used format
  • The right to restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Protection against automated decision-making that significantly affects you

If you want to file a complaint about our data practices, you can contact Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee. But we'd appreciate the chance to address your concerns directly first.
